General List of Items Required for an X-ray Facility Inspection

  1. Certificate of Registration
  2. G & R Divisions of the Texas
    Regulations for the Control of Radiation (TRCR)
  3. Written Operating and Safety Procedures
  4. Written Radiation Protection Program
  5. Quarterly/Annual Audits of Radiation Protection Program
  6. Verification of appropriate Credentials for each person
    operating X-ray Machines (not required for Veterinary
    Facilities)
  7. X-ray Machine Compliance test results (Required every 2.5
    years for Dental, every year for Hospitals, every 1.5
    years for all other X-ray facilities) (Not required for
    Veterinary facilities)
  8. Personnel Monitoring Records (film badge exposure
    reports)(not required for Dental facilities)
  9. Radiation Compliance Survey of all X-ray Rooms (statement
    in Radiation Protection Program for Dental facilities)
  10. Quality Control Program for X-ray Film Processing
  11. Annual Test Record of Lead Protective Devices (Lead
    Aprons, Gloves, Shields, etc.)
  12. Record of Receipt for all X-ray Machines
  13. Caution - Radiation Area Signs
